It’s that bittersweet time of the year again: months of writing essays and taking tedious tests at school are finally over, but the triple-digit, scorching Arizona heat traps you in your house like a prisoner. Luckily, the clock says it’s Yogurt Time.
Yogurt Time is a frozen yogurt shop located at Cityscape in Phoenix that is sure to soothe sweaty foreheads. With yogurt flavors from red velvet cake to dulce de leche and a myriad of colorful toppings, there is a combination for every palette.
Surprisingly, this knockout joint has only been open for two months. Even more surprising, the previous business at this location was also a frozen yogurt shop, Yogurtini.
“It changed because the previous owner got bought out,” said Yogurt Time manager Sabrina Terrell.
When asked what Yogurt Time will do differently than Yogurtini, Terrell was not hesitant to respond.
“We want to give better customer service,” she proclaimed. “We also want to change flavors every two weeks. We also have a lot more toppings.”
However, in the chillier winter months, there is always the risk that customers will prefer warmer treats to frosty frozen yogurt. When asked about her plans to combat this trend, she explained that she is thinking of adding new items to the menu.
“We might get slower, but we’re thinking of introducing blender-type stuff, like smoothies,” she said.
Citizens of Phoenix, watch out for this rising star. Yogurt Time may only be two months old, but this frozen yogurt shop is here to stay.
